So I’ve been living in the new place almost a month and it’s coming together. So far I have:
painted the living room
hung new rods and curtains
painted the bathroom
installed shelf and mirror in the bathroom
attempted to organize these shelves
installed the shelf attachment to my mid century credenza (this was hard, I had some good help)
bought butterfly chairs, rug, coffee table for the living room
gotten rid of a lot of stuff
I would still like to:
cull my closet
paint the bedroom
paint the kitchen
get my butcher block out of storage and put it in the kitchen
buy a couch (ahem)
The couch is the first thing–I think I’m going to pull the trigger on one I saw this week. Then I can actually have people over and offer them more than a dining room chair to sit in.
What are your plans this weekend?

Oh yay!!! I’ve been wondering what the place was looking like and it’s FAB!!! Congrats on all the wonderful progress! My weekend will be homebound as well doing some of the same. Organizing, beautifying and de-cluttering. Have a great one!
Laure – I think you’ve made amazing progress in the last month, your photos are lovely and homey. It’s a big HW weekend for me, class started on Monday. But I am in a similar situation as you are, so continuing to purge, rearrange, and just freshen up my home for myself is in the plans as well. Have a good weekend
Looks great so far! Cannot WAIT to see the rest
colleen, sometimes it’s just great, isn’t it?
Jen, I promise to keep showing more as I get further!
Looks lovely! I’m in the process of doing some similar decorating/organizing/decluttering…Is it weird that I’m enjoying it tremendously? Can’t wait to see more of your inspiring progress!
