wild flowers

Grabbed these beauties at the flower mart early one morning while shopping for the show. I love how crazy and wild and delicate they are and am surprised I’ve never seen them before–do you know what they are?

otherwise commonly known as the pincushion flower. I tried to grow some from seed but they didn’t germinate. I’ll have to try again.

I had no idea about the flowers, but I had to leave a comment and let you know that I have the twin to your beautiful lamp! I’ve never seen another like the one I have until now. Same shape, but different colored base. Where/how did you get yours?

They are very similar to anemones, aren’t they? Beautiful! There is something so pure and touching about wilfdflowers.

They are wild but so gentle the same time. I think I must paint them some day. Thank you for showing them to me.
