tw workshop: new tees (and dresses) lookbook

Thursday, May 9th, 2013

I recently got to shoot a second lookbook for the brilliantly talented Tracy Wilkinson (see the first one here). She expanded her empire with a bunch of new tees in different cuts and colors and also the easiest breeziest dresses that I can’t wait to live in all summer.

We had such a fun time walking around the neighborhood and shooting. Our model, the beautiful Laura Taylor is also a super talented photographer and was a total dream to shoot.

You can find Tracy this weekend at Shopclass, she’s the guest artist for May.

You can also buy tees + dresses + pots online!

Recently had the pleasure of shooting with Tracy Wilkinson in my favorite house that has ever existed. Tracy just launched a new online shop with Simon Story where they sell the things they make (Simon’s speakers are getting a lot of traction).

The new shop sells Tracy’s great hanging and regular pots and also her newly launched line of tee shirts (long sleeve coming soon). I shot the lovely Nathalie in the white short sleeve and muscle tee versions. It was a hot day. We ate cupcakes and had fun. Love these images.

Find all of Tracy’s stuff right here.

p.s. I’m wearing a long sleeve one right now and never want to take it off.

A homemade kouign aman from good friends. An incredible layering of butter, sugar and the resulting caramelization. Heaven. Find a recipe here.

Jonathan and I went to visit our friend (and hero) Tracy and her new house earlier this week. I’ve loved her style ever since I shot her last house for At Your Leisure last year. She is the definition of effortlessly chic. Ask anyone that knows Tracy and they’ll admit to having a secret crush on her.

She met us in her hillside place and gave us the full tour of the airy, seventies retreat complete with flagstone fireplace, decorative concrete tile and wall to wall carpet. Only Tracy could make it work. She served us quiche and arugula salad, Simba lounged next to us, and we soaked it all up until it was time to go home. It’s the kind of thing that makes me nostalgic for California while I’m sitting right there.

Read Tracy’s blog and check out her amazing hand made hanging pots here.

I celebrated part of the last day of the year with abby and grace and beth, a couple bottles of wine and my new grown up cloth napkins that feel french-y from west elm. Thanks ladies, what a way to end the year!

A Bag of Donuts

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

At some point in the middle of the craziness of Dwell on Design, I woke up, checked my email and found a message from my friend Ethan: Check Your Porch. And you know what was there? A bag of Donuts.

Ethan is my best friend.
